8-Hour Powered Industrial Trucks – Straight Mast

Our 8-hour Powered Industrial Trucks (Straight Mast) course is designed for both inexperienced and experienced operators. The first half of the class is designed to familiarize attendees with the terminology and operating controls of Powered Industrial Trucks along with the operational safety considerations.

During the second half of the class, attendees are monitored for proficiency during practical exercises on the equipment itself. Classroom and Practical objectives:

The classroom portion is designed to cover the OSHA standards 29 CFR 178 and 1926.602 for powered industrial trucks and includes:

  • Basic knowledge of PIT hazards
  • Operator responsibilities
  • Workplace hazards
  • Safe operation

  • Different types of PIT’s and Attachments
  • Written Test

The practical exercises include:

STC offers Payloader/Skid Steer training for both experienced and inexperienced operators. With 4 hours of classroom training to familiarize operators with the hazards and safe operating practices associated with larger mobile equipment plus practical experience and evaluation, students gain valuable knowledge and experience.

The classroom portion is designed to cover the OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1926 Sub Part 0 and 29 CFR 602 for Pay Loaders and Skid Steers and includes:

The classroom portion is designed to cover the OSHA standard 29 CFR 67 and ANSIISIA: A92.5-2001 for Bucket Trucks and includes:

4-Hour Excavator

In STC’s Excavator training course, students receive 4 hours of classroom time reviewing safety and equipment familiarization before performing practical exercises and undergoing a practical evaluation of their operating skills.
